Rhossili is a small village and coastal community on the western tip of the Gower Peninsula, within the Swansea area of Wales. It sits above Rhossili Bay, a long sweep of sand backed by dramatic cliffs and heathland, and looks out to the tidal island of Worm's Head and the Bristol Channel - a landscape prized by walkers, surfers and photographers for its wide views and wild character.
Historically centred on farming and fishing, Rhossili now leans heavily on tourism, with a handful of pubs, holiday cottages and visitor facilities serving seasonal crowds; the surrounding headlands also show evidence of ancient occupation. The mix of rugged scenery, accessible beach and a small tight-knit community gives it a distinctive local feel, quieter outside the summer season but much loved year-round.
