Mamhilad is a small village in the county borough of Torfaen in southeast Wales, set among rolling farmland and wooded valleys a short distance east of Pontypool and within easy reach of Cwmbran. It retains a quiet, rural character while being well connected by road to larger towns and cities in the region.
Although primarily residential and agricultural, the village sits within an area shaped by South Wales’s industrial past - nearby Blaenavon and Pontypool carry heavy industrial heritage - and today many locals commute to work in surrounding towns or in light industry and business parks. Community life is modest but rooted, with countryside access and heritage sites close enough for day trips.
