Ruabon is a community and electoral ward in the Wrexham area of Wales, sitting at the edge of the Dee Valley. It combines a compact village centre with surrounding residential and rural landscapes, with straightforward rail and road links to nearby towns and easy access to the countryside of the Clwydian Range and the Dee Valley.
The ward has a notable industrial heritage – coal mining, clay extraction and the production of distinctive red bricks and terracotta shaped much of its Victorian growth – and nearby historic estates such as Wynnstay add architectural interest. Today it is largely residential with local shops, schools and active community groups, a mix of commuters and local workers, and easy appeal for walkers and those interested in industrial and natural heritage, including the nearby Ruabon Marshes.
