Peasedown is an electoral ward in the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset, England, centred on the large village of Peasedown St John a few miles south‑west of Bath. The area expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries with the Somerset coalfield, so there are still traces of mining heritage in terraces, chapels and former pit sites set into the rolling countryside.
Today the ward is largely residential and functions as a commuter catchment for Bath and Bristol, but retains a strong village feel with local shops, schools, sports clubs and active community groups. Its slightly elevated position offers pleasant views across the surrounding Somerset landscape, blending rural character with easy access to urban amenities.
