Beer is a small fishing and former quarrying village on the Jurassic Coast in East Devon, Devon, England. It sits beneath steep cliffs and a shingle beach where traditional fishing cobles are still hauled up, and the dramatic local geology - the pale Beer stone and chert - has both shaped the harbour and powered a long history of quarrying in the Beer Quarry Caves, stone from which was used in buildings such as Exeter Cathedral.

Today the economy is a mix of tourism and small-scale fishing, with visitors drawn to cliff walks, diving, fossil hunting on the coast and the caves with their industrial archaeology; local culture still carries smuggling folklore and a close-knit village feel, while summer months bring pubs, cafés and holiday trade that contrasts with quieter winter life.
