Colyford is a small village in East Devon, Devon, England, sitting where the River Coly meets the estuary of the River Axe. It lies on the A3052 between Seaton and Colyton, close to the coastline of the Jurassic Coast, and has the feel of a quiet riverside settlement centred originally on a ford across the Coly.
The village is notable for its proximity to the wetland reserve at Seaton Wetlands, popular with birdwatchers and walkers, and for being served by the heritage Seaton Tramway, which brings visitors through the estuary. Today Colyford combines a largely residential and agricultural character with a modest tourism economy, reflecting its scenic setting and historic river-crossing origins.
