Horton in Ribblesdale is a village and civil parish in Ribblesdale within the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, England. It sits beneath the limestone escarpment of Ingleborough, with classic dales scenery, limestone pavements and caves such as Gaping Gill, and is crossed by the Pennine Way, making it a popular gateway for walkers.
Historically a farming community, Horton now blends sheep farming with tourism - small pubs, B&Bs and outdoor services cater to those tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The nearby Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, the parish church and the patchwork of dry-stone walls all underline a strong local history and an active community centred on outdoor life and agricultural shows.
