Bloxwich East is a ward in the northern part of the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall in the West Midlands, forming the eastern side of the town of Bloxwich. It sits on the urban fringe of the Black Country and mixes Victorian terraces and post‑war housing with small parade shops, community facilities and pockets of green space, with regular bus links into Walsall and neighbouring centres.
Like much of the area it has roots in the region’s industrial past - coal, metalworking and small engineering trades shaped the local economy - and many former industrial sites have been redeveloped for housing and light industry. Community life is centred on local schools, pubs and community centres, and recent regeneration and local initiatives aim to improve employment opportunities, public realm and housing while retaining a strong, working‑class local identity.
