Pelsall is a large village in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, in the West Midlands of England, historically part of Staffordshire. It sits beside the Wyrley and Essington Canal and close to the heathland of Cannock Chase, with the attractive greenspace of Pelsall Common providing a local nature reserve and open recreation.
Once shaped by coal mining, brickworks and canal trade during the Industrial Revolution, Pelsall today is largely residential with a traditional high street, pubs and active community clubs and events; many residents commute to nearby Walsall or Birmingham, while the village retains a strong local identity and pockets of historic character.
