Willenhall South covers the southern part of the town of Willenhall within the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall in the West Midlands. Sitting on the edge of the Black Country, it is a largely residential area with pockets of light industry, local shops and green spaces, and reasonable bus and road links into Walsall, Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
Historically part of Staffordshire, the ward shares Willenhall’s 19th‑century industrial heritage, particularly the lock‑making and metalworking trades that shaped local identity; many small workshops have since given way to modern businesses and housing. There is a strong community feel with active local groups, churches and ongoing regeneration efforts aimed at improving amenities and town‑centre facilities.
