Hallglen is a residential neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Falkirk in central Scotland, largely developed in the post‑war period. It sits on rising ground above the town with pockets of woodland and open countryside nearby, offering views across the Forth Valley towards the Ochil Hills and a network of local paths that are popular with walkers.
Historically the area housed workers from Falkirk’s foundries and the petrochemical complex at Grangemouth, but today it has a more mixed, commuter profile with many residents travelling to Falkirk, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Local life centres on small shops and community facilities, and there has been steady investment and grassroots activity aimed at improving housing and public spaces while maintaining a strong neighbourhood identity.
