Westquarter is a small village in the council area of Falkirk, Scotland, set in the low-lying Forth Valley on the north bank of the River Carron. It sits a few miles east of Falkirk town centre and close to the large industrial and port complex at Grangemouth, with rolling riverside and countryside within easy reach and the line of the old Roman Antonine Wall not far away.
Historically the settlement grew with local coal, quarrying and brick-making industries and later through employment linked to nearby industrial works; today it is predominantly residential, serving commuters and families while keeping a small local community feel with schools, clubs and access to green spaces such as Muiravonside Country Park and riverside walks. The mix of industrial heritage and riverside landscape gives it a distinct character within the Falkirk area.
