High Bonnybridge is a small residential area and former industrial village in the council area of Falkirk in central Scotland, lying a few miles west of the town of Falkirk and close to the historic Forth and Clyde Canal. Like neighbouring Bonnybridge, it expanded in the 19th century with mills, foundries and other light industry, and today retains a mixture of older workers' housing, newer homes and pockets of light manufacturing.
The area enjoys easy road links to the central belt (the M80 and local roads), making it popular with commuters to Glasgow and Edinburgh, while still being within easy reach of rural parts of the Forth valley. Locally there’s a strong small‑community feel, local shops and clubs, and the wider Bonnybridge area is even known for its curious reputation as a late‑20th century UFO hotspot, which adds a quirky note to its industrial heritage.
