Larbert is a small town in the council area of Falkirk in central Scotland, set in the Forth Valley between Falkirk and Stirling. It has a largely suburban character with green spaces and is well served by rail and road links to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow, which makes it a popular commuter base for the surrounding conurbation.
Originally a village that expanded with 19th- and 20th-century industry, Larbert today blends residential neighbourhoods with significant public-sector employment, notably Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The town is close to regional attractions like the engineering landmark Falkirk Wheel and the sculptural The Kelpies, and remnants of the Roman Antonine Wall in the wider area add a historic dimension to its industrial and community life.
