Viewpark is a residential village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, sitting to the east of Glasgow between Bellshill and Uddingston. It grew up as a 19th–20th century industrial community centred on coal mining and the nearby steelworks, and much of its housing and street pattern reflects that working-class, post‑industrial heritage.
Today Viewpark feels like a commuter suburb with good road and public‑transport links (easy access to the M8 motorway), local shops, community centres and sports clubs, and pockets of parkland within reach - including Strathclyde Country Park a short drive away. Regeneration and mixed housing have diversified the local economy and population, while a strong sense of community and local history remains important to residents.
