Llanfairfechan is a small coastal community in Conwy, Wales, sitting on the north coast between Bangor and Conwy town and on the eastern fringe of Snowdonia National Park. The settlement is backed by the steep slopes of the Carneddau and fronts the broad sands of Traeth Lafan, so it offers a mix of seaside promenade, coastal scenery and quick access to mountain walking.
It has a quiet, slightly Victorian seaside character with a railway line and road links that make it popular with walkers and seaside visitors, and many locals commute to nearby towns. The community retains a strong local identity and Welsh language presence, with tourism, small local businesses and outdoor pursuits forming important parts of the local economy and social life.
