The village of Rhossili sits at the western tip of the Gower Peninsula in the City and County of Swansea, Wales. It overlooks the long sweep of Rhossili Bay, backed by dunes and dramatic cliffs and dominated by the tidal island and headland of Worm's Head, the whole area forming part of Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Historically a small farming and seafaring community, Rhossili today relies on tourism - walkers, surfers and birdwatchers are drawn to the coastal paths, wildlife and wide beaches - yet it still retains a tight-knit village feel with seasonal hospitality, a handful of local services and ancient features such as Bronze Age cairns on the downs; its windswept, cinematic landscapes have also made it a popular filming and photography location.
