Coedpoeth is a small village and community a few miles west of Wrexham in north‑east Wales. Perched on higher ground above the surrounding valleys, it expanded in the 19th century with coalmining, quarrying and related industries, and that industrial past is still visible in many stone buildings and terraced streets.
Today it has the feel of a close‑knit commuter village with a lively local centre, amateur sports clubs, chapels and a community hall, plus easy access to countryside walks. The local economy now mixes small businesses and commuters into nearby towns, while a strong local identity and Welsh heritage remain part of village life.
