Welton is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, set in low-lying agricultural countryside a few miles north of the Humber Estuary and close to the town of Brough. The landscape is characterised by open arable fields and traditional brick and stone cottages, with good road links making Hull and other regional centres readily accessible for work and services.
Historically a farming community, Welton retains a quiet village character with a handful of historic buildings and a community life focused on local amenities rather than tourism. The local economy remains strongly tied to agriculture and to commuting patterns into nearby towns and the Humber ports, while village events and the church help sustain a close-knit social fabric.
