Moorland is a small village and civil parish in the Sedgemoor district of Somerset, England. It lies on the edge of the Somerset Levels, the low-lying, largely reclaimed wetlands that characterise this part of the county, and is within easy reach of the market town of Bridgwater and the tidal River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay.
Much of the local economy and landscape is shaped by agriculture, drainage and traditional peat and turf management, and the area is noted for its birdlife and seasonal flooding patterns. Socially it retains the feel of a rural parish with a close-knit community and historic ties to the management of the Levels, while many residents now commute to nearby towns for work and services.
