Bradfield

Bradfield is a largely rural civil parish in West Berkshire, England, set on the rolling chalk of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape is defined by small, historic villages and hamlets, chalk streams such as the River Pang, farmland and pockets of ancient woodland, which give the area a very scenic, low‑density character.

Aside from agriculture, the parish is known for its village communities and for institutions like Bradfield College, while places such as Bradfield Southend show the tidy mix of thatched cottages, village pubs and parish churches familiar in the Thames Valley fringe. Many residents commute to nearby towns, but local life still revolves around fetes, clubs and the stewardship of the downland and waterways that make Bradfield distinctive.
