Blairmore is a small village on the western shore of Loch Long, tucked into the wooded coastline of the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It lies beneath hills that lead into the dramatic peaks of the Arrochar Alps, so the area attracts hillwalkers, sailors and anyone after coastal walks and wildlife.
The settlement developed in the Victorian period as a seaside retreat and still shows traditional stone villas and a relaxed waterfront character; a former steamer pier recalls the era when paddle steamers called at the loch. Today the local economy is mainly tourism, small-scale services and commuting, with a close-knit community and easy access to loch-side activities and quiet rural life.
