The small former port town of Kincardine sits on the north bank of the River Forth in western Fife, Scotland. It is best known for the prominent Kincardine Bridge, which frames wide estuary views and provides a key crossing into the Central Belt.
Kincardine grew from a ferry and shipping hub into a community shaped by coal, power generation and engineering - the nearby Longannet power station once dominated the skyline before its closure - and the harbour and waterfront remain focal points for walking, fishing and seasonal community events. Today it feels quietly mixed: a small town with a clear industrial heritage, attractive riverside sunsets and straightforward road links to nearby towns and cities.
