Stenhousemuir is a small town in the council area of Falkirk in central Scotland, lying close to and effectively contiguous with Larbert. It sits beside the industrial corridor along the River Carron and near the line of the Antonine Wall, with easy road access to the M9 and rail connections at Larbert station that make it a convenient base for commuters to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The town grew up in the 19th century around mills and foundries tied to the wider Falkirk manufacturing zone, and today blends a strong community feel, local shops and Victorian terraces with newer housing and light industry. It’s known locally for its footballing heritage - the team play at Ochilview Park - and benefits from being close to regional attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Helix, while retaining a distinctly small-town character.
