Carronshore is a riverside village in the council area of Falkirk, sitting on the north bank of the River Carron close to where it opens towards the Firth of Forth. It lies just east of the town of Falkirk and near the industrial town of Grangemouth, so its location blends coastal estuary scenery with easy access to bigger centres.
The settlement grew with the industrial age, historically linked to works in nearby Carron and the wider heavy industry of the Forth corridor, and today is largely residential with many people commuting to local industry or to the cities. Despite that industrial legacy, the area offers pockets of estuarine wildlife and informal waterside walks, and it’s within a short distance of regional attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, while retaining a small‑village community feel with local clubs, pubs and a village hall.
