Bonhill

Bonhill is a small town on the north bank of the River Leven in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, forming part of the industrial Vale of Leven close to Alexandria and a short drive from Dumbarton and Loch Lomond. The town occupies a mix of former mill sites and 19th‑century workers’ housing and has practical commuter links towards Glasgow.

Bonhill’s growth in the 19th century was tied to the textile, bleaching and chemical works of the Vale of Leven, leaving an industrial heritage that still shapes the town’s layout and character.
