Llansantffraid Glyn Ceiriog is a small, rural parish in Wrexham, Wales, set along the steep, wooded slopes of the Ceiriog Valley beside the River Ceiriog. The area is centred on the village of Glyn Ceiriog and is noted for its dramatic valley scenery, lanes and old chapels that give it a very intact Welsh rural character.
Historically the parish grew around Victorian slate workings and small textile mills and was served by the narrow‑gauge Glyn Valley Tramway to Chirk, a piece of industrial heritage still remembered locally. Today the community is largely agricultural with a small tourism and heritage economy - walkers, poets and people interested in local history are drawn to the valley, which also inspired the 19th‑century Welsh poet John Ceiriog Hughes.
