Maddiston is a village in the council area of Falkirk in central Scotland, sitting on the eastern edge of the wider Falkirk conurbation. It has a largely residential character set against low-lying farmland and suburban developments, and is within easy commuting distance of the larger towns and cities of the Central Belt.
Historically the settlement grew up with the industrial expansion of the 19th and 20th centuries and today combines local amenities, a primary school and community groups with a commuter population; the village retains a strong local identity through grassroots clubs and occasional events, reflecting the social continuity of many small post‑industrial communities in the area.
