Abergele sits on the north coast of Conwy, Wales, at the mouth of the River Gele, with a stretch of sandy shore around Pensarn and easy views inland to the Clwydian Range. Its coastal position, between Rhyl and Colwyn Bay, gives it a mix of seaside character and access to surrounding countryside.
Historically a small market and parish centre, Abergele now balances local retail, agriculture and tourism, with nearby Gwrych Castle and coastal walks drawing visitors. The community retains a bilingual Welsh–English feel, hosts local events and benefits from good road and rail links that make it part commuter hub and part traditional Welsh town.
