Middlezoy is a small village and civil parish set on the low-lying Somerset Levels in Somerset, England. The landscape is defined by reclaimed marsh, rhynes and drainage channels, and that watery setting still shapes local life and land use: agriculture - particularly pasture and arable farming - remains the dominant local economy, alongside commuters who travel to larger towns.
There is a strong sense of history and community; the village church, St Mary’s, retains medieval fabric and a prominent tower, while the Levels around it bear traces of human activity from much earlier periods through the medieval reclamation era. Social life centres on a village hall and weekly groups and occasional fetes, keeping a small rural community feel despite modern pressures on rural services.
